Warner Bros Interactive has released a new Mortal Kombat X gameplay video showing off series veteran, Raiden, as he pummels sun god, Kotal Kahn in a battle of epic proportions.
The video is narrated by Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon, who offers his insights into Raiden's abilities and fighting styles, which are named Thunder God, Displacer and Storm Lord.
Mortal Kombat X is being developed by Netherrealm Studios for release in 2015 for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Powered by modified Unreal Engine 3, the game is expected to run at 60 fps at 1080p resolution on next-gen platforms - an important feat for a fighting game.
"This marks a confident step forward for the fighting genre, but one that doesn't forget its roots."
