The fourth DLC drop for Hyrule Warriors - the million-seller crossover for Wii U that blends Zelda characters with Dynasty Warriors gameplay - comes with some interesting new things for both fans and current players.
Where previous DLC offered some exclusive Majora's Mask content (in-line with 3DS remake that was recently launched), this time it's the King of Evil who stands in the spotlight. Known as the "Ganon Pack", the content is set to debut in Japan on February 26. A European release date has yet to be confirmed, but we expect it to be available in a couple of weeks (mid-March), similar to the timeframe with previous DLC packs.
The pack consists of two new game modes. As well as the new wild boar-like playable character that's ready to devastate stages (until now Ganon appeared only as a final Ganondorf NPC transformation, but you could only play with Ganondorf), there's a Boss Challenge where players will fight Hyrule Warriors bosses and chase high scores, all the while unlocking costumes for Lana, Link and Zelda.
Finally, content news aside, the download includes a free update, which patches the game to version 1.6.0. This update should reduce load times, increase the max character level cap, expands the Challenge Mode, and adds a bunch of new medals.
