The popular PC & Xbox exclusive fifth main instalment in the Gears of War series, Gears 5, has seen major success and with many players hopping into multiplayer matches comes toxic teammates. One of the main issues players face when playing multiplayer is quitting, often related to players getting mad at how the game's going for them as an individual player, which can make or break a match.
The Coalition has now put a penalty system in place for quitters, penalising the rampant rage-quitting players with month to year-long suspensions. The developer stated the following in a post on Twitter:
"Quitters have been receiving month to year long suspensions for prior behavior.
This is how long you can be suspended for being a rampant quitter. Take heed.
Over the next few hours, impacted users will be un-suspended, but 1 quit away from suspension.
You have been warned."
Have you had games impacted by quitters on your team?
