Gears POP! gets new trailer, release date announced

The Coalition surprised fans with its announcement of "for all ages" Gears of War game Gears POP! last year and today, during the Inside Xbox event at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, a new trailer emerged, showing Marcus Fenix with an unusually friendly Boomer by his side. Fenix ordered the deep-voiced monstrosity around until our poor commander died, exploding into a shiny coin (the game certainly isn't as bloody as the games in the main series).

Gears POP! is releasing sooner rather than later, it turns out, with the official release date having just been revealed being August 22, a few short days away. Check the new trailer out below.
