Gears POP! launches this year and we have a brand new E3 trailer

One of the funnier surprises during last year's Microsoft E3 press conference was Gears POP!, a smartphone game based on Gears of War, but with design from the oh so very popular Funko POP! figurines. During Microsoft's E3 press conference earlier this week, we got to see the game again via a trailer that gave us a taste of things to come.

The inspiration seems to be brought from Clash Royale, and hopefully, this will turn out to be a fun way of playing Gears of War on the go. Unfortunately, we didn't get a firm release date, but at least Microsoft confirmed that it launches this year for both Android and iPhone.
