Developer Motiga, which are still currently working on the Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive MOBA Gigantic, has been forced to lay off a "significant percentage" of the studio's workforce. The developer has put out an official statement on their website, which reads:
"It is with deep heartache that Motiga announces the temporary layoff of a significant percentage of our studio today. Our financial situation is such that we are unable to continue supporting the entirety of the studio at this time. Though we are in active and promising discussions with a number of potential investors, the timing for those negotiations extends beyond the resources we have to maintain the staffing required to continue development on Gigantic."
It seems that Gigantic is in dire need of new investors, which begs the question whether Microsoft is one those potential investors, seeing that Microsoft have secured the exclusivity on Xbox One and Windows 10...
Gigantic recently enjoyed a closed beta period on PC and Xbox One.
