After the reveal that The Last of Us: Part II would be delayed until May next year, Ubisoft has also revealed a set of delays, with Gods & Monsters, Rainbow Six: Quarantine, and Watch Dogs: Legion all getting pushed into the 2020/21 financial year (meaning between April next year and March of 2021).

This was revealed in a new document updating Ubisoft's financial targets for this fiscal year, lowering the targets to include net bookings of €1,450 million (previous estimate was €2,185 million) and non-IFRS operating income of between €20 million and €50 million (down from previous target of €480 million).

This includes a reduction of the revenues expected from The Division 2 but, more dramatically, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. That said, the delay of the three titles above means "Ubisoft expects a very strong lineup in fiscal 2020/21, with the release of five AAA games", and they expect net bookings of approximately €2,600 million and non-IFRS operating income of approximately €600 million for this period.

"Over the past few years, we have delivered many high-quality titles, built a portfolio of diversified franchises and successfully conducted the digital transformation of our business. We have significantly grown our operations for PC, and in Asia and esports, and have further developed our Uplay platform. And we can now draw on a very robust back-catalog, which ended up again above our expectations in the second quarter, including the particularly outstanding momentum of Rainbow Six Siege and Assassin's Creed Odyssey," CEO Yves Guillemot said.

Guillemot adds that these delays have been made in order to ensure each of the games are top quality products.

Do you mind delays if we're getting better games?
