Gran Turismo 7 will be less like GT Sport and more like the older games

Some people really loved Gran Turismo Sport, while others missed the more classic setting of the series. Judging by a recent interview (translated by GTPlanet) with the founder and chief of Polyphony Digital, Kazunori Yamauchi, the latter group of fans will have something too look forward to as he says that Gran Turismo Sport "may have seemed quite outlandish for some people."

So when it comes to Gran Turismo 7, we can look forward a return to the roots of the series. Yamauchi explains:

"While inheriting elements such as the [FIA] championship realized in Sport, Gran Turismo 7 will return to the royal purpose of full volumes like [Gran Turismo] 1-4, and provide the best Gran Turismo experience at present."
