KnapNok Games' Lau Korsgaard (game designer) and Dajana Dimovska (producer) share their vision about motion controls and TV-free video games. They also define their Wii U party game Spin the Bottle and we get to try it out.

"It's in the borderline between a digital and like a... this kind of folk, or whatever, game. We always thought our studio is a bit different because it doesn't belong in the hardcore digital gaming space," said Dimovska.

"Spin the Bottle is a game where you don't look at the TV, you just use the Wii U GamePad, sitting in a circle around that, and it's a party game for 3-8 players. Each round there is two players randomly paired up and they have to do a physical challenge together," explained Korsgaard.

"We believe that party games are about the social dynamics that happen and not necessarily something on screen. Games like Guitar Hero; it's a lot of fun, it's competitive like party game, but it's also a lot about just looking at the screen and getting better at the game, and that's kind of it. A lot of the social dynamics are like there, but they're like after the game kind of thing. And what we're trying to get here is pretty much get that social dynamic happening like in the game, so it's all about the people," said Dimovska.

Could Spin the Bottle become a million seller exploiting the dynamic of boys and girls gaming and possibly falling in love:

"Hopefully. It's a really tricky balance to hit because we also want to make a game you can play as a family, make a game that father, mother and children can play together and have fun. So we wanna ike hit that audience, but we also wanted to make a game for like teenagers who want to flirt with eachother and want to do like weird stuff with each other and so on. You can sort of turn the game into what you want to do, cause it's so loose and flexible. If you want to make it like a weird naked drinking game, do it, but you can also get a family game," said Korsgaard.
