For several hours players have been unable to join the multiplayer fun in GTA Online, Grand Theft Auto V's PvP element. It's unclear whether the downtime has to do with Rockstar's infrastructure or the service on PSN (the latter having some issues as of late), as there's no official statement on the matter.

Rockstar Support currently has a "Limited" access warning for PS4 (not for PS3) on the GTA Online Server Status page, and that page will be updated the moment the service is back.

Players have been voicing their annoyance as this could potentially screw their so called "objective streaks", which depend on daily dedication for weeks or even months, and provide juicy in-game rewards. It is unknown if those stats can be saved or recaptured in order to save those user's progression and achievements.

We'll also update this piece when more info becomes available.
