Hermen Hulst from Guerrilla Games was on stage during Sony's E3 presser to announce the studio's new IP, Horizon: Zero Dawn.

It started with paintings on a cave wall, but it's quickly revealed that the cave art is of a more recent variety. We're told a story about how humanity abandoned their cities, and became tribal once again.

Except, humanity is now in conflict with machines, and metallic beasts roam the landscape instead of animals. Some of them are really, really big. Dinosaur big.

The introductory trailer quickly descends into gameplay. We see a female player-character clutching a bow hunting robotic prey, and a variety of different mechanical creatures. We'll update you here with more screens and a trailer soon.
