Valve recently revealed Half-Life: Alyx to the world, a VR project that's extending the Half-Life universe after many years, and when asked by Push Square about whether the game would ever come to PlayStation VR, designer Greg Coomer said that they're just focusing on the "initial" release.
Of course this means the game will be "available for SteamVR only" with this launch, but as Push Square notes, this isn't a definite "no" when it comes to Alyx branching out onto Sony's platform.
"We believe Sony's VR platform has been a huge success for the medium, and we assume that lots of Sony customers would love to experience this new chapter of Half-Life," he adds.
A PSVR port isn't in active development right now though, since the focus is on the initial release, but Coomer makes clear that Valve hasn't "ruled anything out".
These are some very vague answers, but it's worth noting that this PSVR version is neither confirmed or denied, so don't get your hopes up too much if you want Alyx on your PlayStation console.
This game seems to be the start of something new for Valve, who says we should expect more Half-Life after Alyx, and for all the information so far about the VR game, head this way.
Would you play it on PSVR?
