Starting with Placement Cup #2 next week and HCS Daytona on May 12-14, changes to the settings in Halo 5: Guardians have been announced, as the Halo multiplayer team has been "meeting with top HCS pros and reviewing feedback for these 'version 3' changes" which can be played in the "HCS Summer 2017" playlist that's live now.

A whole host of changes are being welcomed to the game, from specific map alterations like adding Tactical Magnums to Red and Blue Porches on Fathom, as the team were "concerned with how close they spawned to the Top Mid portion of the map", to removing the Battle Rifle from Carbine Tower Two on Truth to balance the addition of replacing the Storm Rifle in Bottom Mid with a Tactical Magnum.

Some larger changes have also made their way into the final playlist, like players now only spawning with a Magnum, as opposed to previously when spawning with an Assault Rifle too. All automatic weapons and Splinter Grenades have been removed as well, while the respawn time for Tier 1 weapons has changed to 40 seconds and Tier 2 weapons are now 20 seconds.

You can read all the changes on the official Halo Waypoint site. Do you play the competitive Halo playlists? If so, what do you think of these changes? Let us know in the comments!
