EA is reportedly in talks with developer Bright Light to shutter the studio.

Talk of closure, reported by Gamesindustry.biz is under discussion after the team fulfilled its commitments on the latest - and last - Harry Potter movie tie-in, Deathly Hallows Part 2.

"After a review of all current and future projects, Electronic Arts has started a formal consultation process with its Bright Light employees over the proposed closure of the studio," an official statement quoted of EA's Tiffany Steckler.

"The proposed changes will help centralize development on future projects, reduce development costs and will allow for better knowledge and talent sharing within the organization."

While the Potter titles weren't critically lauded on release, the studio has had to contend with the usual tight deadlines expected from games created to schedule in with cinematic releases.
