Hawken is a solid mech shooter that was developed by Adhesive Games and published by Meteor Entertainment. It has been in Early Access for some time, since late-2012, but for a while now it has been suspiciously quiet with regards to updates. The community was concerned by the breakdown in communications, although it must be said that the game, even in its unfinished state, is still very playable.

It might even be about to get even better though, as a new publisher seems to be stepping in, in the process confirming that Hawken is still alive and that more updates are on the way. Reloaded Games, the team behind APB: Reloaded, are now promising more improvements in the future, and it'll be interesting to see how the online mech shooter changes looking forward. Here are the plans as listed in Reloaded's post:

Fix password reset
Get forums working again
Fix more deployment stuff
Fix a bunch of tools systems
Play Hawken
Fix more back end systems
Play more Hawken and get rolled by the good players
Fix Fix Fix (yeah, lots of this)
Plan new updates and future changes

Hawken

"If you're after a mech shooter to while away a few hours, look no further."
