Just yesterday, Warner Bros announced Batman: Return to Arkham, a remaster of the most excellent games Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City for the PlayStaiton 4 and Xbox One.
The remastered version has updated the visuals of both games and run on the Unreal Engine 4, which means they should be able to offer much more graphical fidelity and detail than the original Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games.
But just how different do they actually look? Reddit user blackfire561 has loaded up his old versions of the game and grabbed screenshots of select scenes that also appear in the announcement trailer for Return to Arkham. We won't blatantly steal his hard work, so stop by his Imgur gallery to see the comparison for yourself. The most obvious differences seem to be more contrast, better lighting and shadows, and much higher levels of texture detail.
Batman: Return to Arkham is dropping on July 29. Watch the announcement trailer below.
