IO Interactive reps on Twitter casually confirmed that plans of the Danish studio and publisher Square Enix for the game involve launching up to three seasons of content, with the first one currently running and aiming for its recently announced fourth episode, set in Bangkok.

Up until now there's been no mention of Season Two as both parties are checking feedback and success of the first chapters, and even updating and improving the game accordingly.

On another topic but in the same conversation, the community manager replied that there's "always a possibility but we're focused on creating exciting new content that fans will love" when asked about remaking old beloved levels from past games into the new Hitman.

The first episode of Hitman was launched on March 11 for PS4, Xbox One and PC and has been massively expanded upon with more to come during the rest of the year.
