The latest iteration in the Hitman series of games was due to get a boxed version by the end of the year, but that no longer seems to be the case, according to publisher Square Enix. The reason for the delay is unknown as of right now.

Hitman is releasing in a somewhat different manner to the way other games in the series have been released, with the first part of the game being released tomorrow, March 11, digitally for £11.99/14.99 euro. The rest of the game will be released in episodic chunks, and six more are due to be released thereafter.

The episodes will cost £7.99/9.99 euro each, but you can pay full price, £39.99/49.99 euro on PC and £44.99/59.99 euro on consoles, for the game now and get the new episodes as they come out.
