When microtransactions and DLC was still a new thing Bethesda became they object of much hatred as they started selling the horse armor in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on Xbox Live (240 points). The item was completely necessary if you wanted to keep your horse alive for any longer periods of time, and was as such a perfect example of what not to do when it comes to DLC and microtransactions.

Bethesda have admitted as much, but in a recent interview with Official Xbox Magazine, Bethesda's Pete Hines said the horse armor still records a sale every now and then.

"In one respect everything we've done has done well, including the much maligned horse armour. I swear to you - I don't have the report in front of me, but multiple people bought horse armour yesterday! For some inexplicable reason. It happened, I promise.", says Hines.

A horse that won't die on you... that will be 240 points, thank you very much!
