The Houston Outlaws has signed the first ever collegiate player to an Overwatch League team. Enrique "Joobi" Triana, who previously played for a variety of Contenders line-ups, as well as the Maryville Saints (an esports team run by the Maryville University) will be heading to Houston as part of the big leagues of competition for the 2021 season.

Joobi however, is still underage and will not be eligible to play until he turns 18 in April. This does mean that we probably won't get to see him in action right away, that is unless the League starts much later than anticipated.

This addition to the Houston Outlaws also leaves a further four positions on the active roster open, meaning there is a big chance we will see a few more announcements coming from the Texan team before the League kicks-off.
