Nioh 2 was a surprise announcement during Sony's E3 press conference, and although the teaser we got was cool, it didn't really tell us much about the game.
But now, thanks to the guys and gals over at Polygon, who have distilled some information from an interview with Team Ninja on the PlayStation Live From E3 stream, we know a little more about the game.
According to them, game director Fumihiko Yasuda said that there were certain things the team couldn't accomplish when developing the original Nioh and that they hoped to fix that this time around.
Although the new game won't be a revolution compared to the previous one, the team have some changes they're going to implement. Among them, we find a character creation tool that lets us choose our own race and gender. So, we most likely won't be playing as William anymore.
The game will still be difficult, but they're hoping to make "more satisfying deaths for players."Tom Lee, creative director of Team Ninja, added that "this time around the gloves are off. We're gonna go in hard. The experience is going to be closer to what we really had in mind [the first time]."
Does this make you more excited for Nioh 2?
