Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the game that really cemented Call of Duty's place at the top table of gaming, and so players around the world cheered when Activision revealed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. The only problem was that you had to buy a special edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to get it. This created quite an uproar, but most of us expected it to be sold separately sometime this year, and it turns out that we were probably right.

Why do we think this? Game rental service Gamefly got a bit too eager on the publish button and listed the standalone version for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. They removed it within minutes, but not before the fast-fingered folks over at CharlieIntel took a few screenshots. The listing claims that the PS4 version of the game will launch on June 20, while Xbox One owners will have to wait for July 20 due to Sony's deal with Activision.

This is not the first time Gamefly has made this mistake and we can't remember a time it turned out to be false information, so we're marking these dates with a fairly thick pencil on our calendars.
