Is Formula E racing heading to Gran Turismo Sport?

Polyphony Digital is looking to roll out another racing discipline in GT Sport in the near future by the looks of it. Kazunori Yamauchi, the mastermind behind the series, pretty much confirmed as much when talking to Japanese magazine Famitsu when he suggested that talks are ongoing with regards to Formula E making its way into the game.

Yamauchi was talking about the fact that GT Sport will be the hub for Porsche as they host Japan's 2019 esports competition: Porsche E-Racing Japan. When asked if he was considering Formula E for GT Sport, he confirmed that there were ongoing discussions with the organisers behind Formula E and added that he had "no doubt" that it will happen. Of course, there's every chance that something got lost in translation, but on the other hand, Polyphony is usually at the forefront of things when it comes to collaborations with car makers and event organisers.
