When Miitomo was launched, it was immediately propelled up to the first place of most download charts on Android and iOS across the globe, and Miitomo still does great numbers, but perhaps that isn't telling the full story.

Survey Monkey has some interesting numbers to share that clearly shows that even though Miitomo does compare fairly well against the giants like Candy Crush Jelly Saga and Clash Royale - the users seem to stop playing and engaging with the app. Clash Royale is played an average of 4,2 days per week, while Miitomo only musters 2,3 days per week.

What is even worse is that half of the players don't come back the following week to and so it is struggling to maintain its community, this despite the fact that Miitomo is a newer release. Since the title is all about social interactions and being active frequently, this is especially bad.

Survey Monkey points out that Nintendo likely spends much less money making people aware of the game than King and Supercell, and it will be interesting to see if and how they will react to the falling activity numbers. They need to keep players engaged, as this is key to success in the mobile free-to-play space.

Have you tried Miitomo and what do you think?
