Despite initially having to fend off criticism for looking a bit too similar to Overwatch, Hi-Rez Studios' Paladins: Champions of the Realm has gathered a large player following, who regularly check in on the game's open beta. The developer has previously stated, that they do not have any concrete plans for bringing the game to Switch, but now it seems they may be working on it anyway.

Recently, Hi-Rez released a new patch for the open beta client, entitled "62", and some fans have managed to dig up some engine configuration files specifically for a Nintendo Switch version of the game. These findings were then brought to the attention of SmiteDatamining. Keep in mind that this does not necessarily mean that the game is coming to the platform, only that Hi-Rez has been working on it.

"Considering it's free-to-play Paladins might just win you over if you give it a try, and we'd definitely recommend you to do so."
