Josh Brolin has signed on to play Cable in Deadpool 2

As reported by the suitably named The Hollywood Reporter, actor Josh Brolin has signed on to play Cable in the upcoming Deadpool sequel, beating other considerations like Michael Shannon and David Harbour to the punch.

Brolin also plays Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy, so he's clearly no stranger to the Marvel universe, and with production starting in June for Deadpool 2, he should be pretty busy, especially with Deadpool hanging around.

Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter to comment on the casting choice, saying: "The f***, Fox! You can't play 2 characters in the same universe!! Josh Brolin was in Sicario and I was in Sabrina The Teenage Witch."
