Fans of Jurassic World Evolution have a bit more to be pleased about right now, because update 1.4 has landed on PC and Xbox One (with the PS4 version coming soon), bringing with it an all-new Challenge Mode, not to mention plenty of other changes and additions.

The Challenge Mode was actually requested by the community, and sees you start with very little money on Isla Nublar. You can set the difficulty levels before you start, but there are new mechanics like Hammond Foundation fees, contract cancellation penalties, and personal best completion times, with new skins available for those who excel at this mode.

Speaking of Isla Nublar, this sandbox island has had more options added to it as well, like lifespan toggle so dinosaurs don't die of old age, various difficulty settings, feeder resupply toggle, and power toggle.

On top of that, there are new light options for when you've achieved five stars on each island in Career Mode - including default, dawn, dusk, and night - and new contracts for all Divisions have been added too, requiring you to address everything from guest coverage to higher levels of profit.

Also included in 1.4 are new cameras from the viewing gallery and platform; Korean and Italian language support; scaling down the Ceratosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex while scaling up the Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus; camera zoom toggle; and a whole lot more.

Will you be diving back into the islands now?
