For those who've braved the wasteland and lived to tell the tale, December offers another opportunity for huge open-world exploration in the shape of Just Cause 3. The game launched two days ago to a warm reception from critics, but a number of players have taken issue with various technical problems present in the expansive sandbox.
Publisher Square-Enix posted a message on the game's official website reassuring fans that it's looking into the issues and working on a patch. Given the game's scale and potential for gameplay variation it appears it's going to take the team some time to iron out the various kinks.
"We know you're going to want specific information on when a patch will land and what will be fixed - we would love to give you that information, and we will as soon as we have it.
"We need a little bit of time to recreate some of these issues and build fixes. Rest assured though - we are fully committed to making Just Cause 3 as awesome as possible. We already know loads of people are having a blast with the game but we'll do all we can to make sure everyone is laughing and smiling as they play."
A look on the Steam forum shows that players have been very vocal about what they want fixed with a lengthy list ranging from game crashes and framerate drops to vehicles blowing up too easily.
Anyone experiencing issues is advised to contact Square Enix Customer Support or PC players should visit the Steam forums to voice their woes.
In our Just Cause 3 review we praised the game's impressive destruction, vast open world and entertaining story, saying, "Rico's return is a successful one, and his quest to free Medici is enjoyable and spectacularly destructive."
