Tripwire Interactive has announced a timed seasonal event for Killing Floor 2 today, revealing the first such event for the grizzly shooter sequel (there were several of them during the life cycle of the original).
It kicks off tomorrow with a free week to get the party started, and it runs for one month. Weekly Outbreaks will bring new game modes as the event progresses, and players will, during the event, earn limited edition gear, and go up against individual challenges designed specifically for the Summer Sideshow.
Two examples of new modes include a headshot-only challenge called Cranium Cracker, and there's an upcoming model called Tiny Terror, whereby enemies and players shrink when hit. It sounds like a fun alternative to the more serious wave-based action of KF2.
Check out the trailer below to see some of the zeds you'll be blasting away at, the twisted carnival where you'll be doing it, and the two new weapons you'll use along the way.
