Despite many rumours circulating before the eventual reveal, many didn't think Knack would be first in line of Sony's many first-party endeavors to warrant a sequel. However, Japan Studio thought there was more they could do with the game's titular hero, and the end result did end up improving on many of the areas where the original tripped (check out our review to see how).
However, if one report is to be believed, this hasn't translated into great sales, at least at retail. According to a report on VGChartz, the game shifted 67,000 units during its first week on retail, but it's worth mentioning that these reports aren't to be seen as solid evidence, even though they could be an indicator of a less than ideal performance.
