Longtime Pokémon dev encourages fans to buy a Switch

While announced without much fanfare at E3 last year, Game Freak's upcoming Pokémon game for the Nintendo Switch has received no official information at all for an entire year, but several reports have indicated that the game will be shown off in a major way soon, and now a mysterious encouragement from a longtime developer on the franchise has stoked the flames of speculation once more.

Apparently one of the founding members of developer Game Freak - Junichi Masuda - has made headlines (at ComicBook for example) by actively encouraging attendees at a fan event at Pokémon Center in Tokyo to buy a Switch "soon".

During the event Masuda allegedly pulled out a Switch of his own, and encouraged everyone in attendance who didn't have one to buy one.

Of course Game Freak and Nintendo have had an active working relationship for many years, but the mysterious prompt has caused speculation. Do you think we'll see the game at E3?
