Look at the technical evolution of Mario Kart

It's no secret that Nintendo is one of the biggest names in gaming, with Mario as their biggest figure and mascot, and Mario Kart is one of the biggest games featuring the ex-plumber's name. Digital Foundry has recently traced the technological evolution of this franchise in a new video to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the racer, and it's pretty much a nostalgia trip for those who love the games.

Included in the video is all nine games across nine consoles, and we don't need to tell you how different they all are from one another, whether that be with Double Dash's two-man racing combo, or the Switch's shinier version of the whole formula.
