Nintendo has announced the latest sales figures for their biggest hits across both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
Mario Kart 8 has managed to sell 5.11 million units since its relase in May of last year. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U also proved very successful, with the fighting game selling 3.65 million units thus far.
On 3DS, Mario Kart 7 is one of the best-selling titles. So far Nintendo has sold 11.7 million copies of that game. It's more than the already impressive 9.16 million copies of New Super Mario Bros. and Animal Crossing: New Leaf's 8.94 million. Other long-running hits include Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire with 9.94 million units and Pokémon X/Y with 13.85 million units.
Recent hits on Nintendo 3DS are Tomodachi Life with 4.15 million units, which sold particularly well in Europe, and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. The fighter sold 6.75 million units, so combined with its console brethren, the latest round of the series has sold more than 10 million units across both 3DS and Wii U.
