Capcom has today dropped new intel regarding Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, including a new story trailer and narrative details, as well as thirteen brand new screenshots that show off some of the newly confirmed characters.

This latest look at the brawler landed alongside today's announcement of the game's release date, which has been set for September 19, 2017, when it will land on PC, PS4 and Xbox One (the press release Capcom sent over specifically mentions the North American launch date, but also states that all versions and editions of the game will launch simultaneously, so make of that what you will).

Capcom also confirmed a few of the fighters that will be on roster of this cross-over fighter, with the lineup set to include the likes of Ultron, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, Chun-Li, Strider Hiryu, and Chris Redfield, all of whom join the likes of Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Ryu, and Mega Man X. The reason these characters have been drawn together has also been outlined:

HQ

The Marvel and Capcom universes collide in a visually stunning and immersive cinematic Story Mode, as heroes and villains battle together to save their merged worlds from a sinister new threat, Ultron Sigma. A combination of the robotic foes known as Ultron from the Marvel Universe and Sigma from the Capcom Universe, this psychotic villain is obsessed with infecting all organic life with a cybernetic virus. History's greatest gathering of warriors must now unite to fight back against Ultron Sigma and save their newly formed world.

The press release also details various editions of the game. Local prices may vary, but here are the broad strokes now that pre-orders are open. The standard edition will cost $60, and it's $90 for the Deluxe Edition (which is for PS4 and Xbox One, and includes six additional characters). Pre-ordering will also bag you bonus costumes. Finally, there's a Collector's Edition. It's by TriForce and will include "four premium character dioramas of Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Mega Man X and Chun-Li, a case filled with six Infinity Stone replicas, as well as SteelBook packaging that contains the Deluxe Edition of the game," and will cost $200.
