With a gameplay premise, presentation, and production values similar to those found in a triple-A game, Pentadimensional Games has been developing Megaton Rainfall for some time without making too much noise... until now. The game just got a pretty close launch date, and with the following new trailer it literally makes the Earth resound:
The clip leaves a much clearer idea of how this "first person superhero game with unprecedented freedom of movement and scale of destruction" works. The title asks you to stop the blue planet's extraterrestrial invasion and the consequent humanity destruction by responding to the aliens with even more destructive super powers.
The tech created by the Madrid-based studio allows for the dynamic generation of the world, including full landscapes and destructible cities, with the possibility of soaring through the skies like Superman, beyond the stratosphere, and into "the solar system and even the Milky Way in less than 1 minute from any location".
Megaton Rainfall releases for PS4 (including a PSVR mode) and PC on September 26, and we expect to try it out at Gamescom. Does the idea sound intriguing?
