Rise Nation's young fighter MenaRD took home the trophy at the Capcom Cup last month after beating Tokido in the final, and now he has claimed an early trophy in 2018 by winning the Kumite in Tennessee Street Fighter V competition.

He faced fellow Rise Nation fighter Smug in the grand final of the competition, but Smug had to beat Punk to get there, and there was an interesting moment after his win, as Punk refused to shake Smug's hand, a clip of which you can watch here.

Elsewhere Echo Fox's SonicFox won the Injustice 2 competition, Lil Majin won the Tekken 7 tournament, and Punisher was crowned the best among all the Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite fighters, with plenty of other tournaments taking place as well.

Is MenaRD the fighter to beat right now in Street Fighter?
