Minecraft: Education Edition available for PC and Mac

Microsoft has this week made Minecraft: Education Edition available for schools around the world, with it releasing in 11 languages and in 50 countries.

Educators looking to use the popular game to help in the classroom are able to buy the new version of the game after the block-filled learning aid spent several months in beta with more 50,000 people helping out during early access.

The special edition comes with extra tools for teachers, such as student positional tracking, the easier allocation of resources, and some additional in-game items, all manageable via the new Classroom mode companion app.
