The Tokyo Game Show wrapped up last week and while we were there, we got to see and play a whole bunch of interesting new titles. One that caught our attention was an indie title called Ministry of Broadcast, published by Playism. To get a deeper understanding of how the game plays, we spoke with Dusan Cezek, creative director on the title.

"It's a cinematic platformer originally but it was influenced from the genre" said Cezek. "We wanted to make a game that we would like to enjoy and play. So, we basically mixed the Prince of Persia, Flashback and Oddworld and these kinds of games, old time platformers and implemented adventure game parts."

"We were inspired by the everyday situation that is happening now in the world, but it turned out to be darker than expected."

"The storytelling is really important, there are story telling elements, the story is influencing a little bit of the gameplay. So, basically, it's a real cinematic performer with more story to explore, see, read and experience."

Ministry of Broadcast is launching this year on PC and Switch, although there is plans to bring the title to PS4 later down the line.

Is Ministry of Broadcast a game you will be playing later this year?
