Mod lets you play PS2 games on the PS4

Hackers and modders have been working to find vulnerabilities and loopholes in the PS4's firmware that can be exploited for various reasons. Mostly it's about being able to play games they don't legally own, which they manage through the use of modded software that enables the console to read previously-backed-up games without going through the typical checks.

According to VG247 a modder called cfwprophet has now found an exploit that lets gamers play PlayStation 2 games on PlayStation 4.

The PS2-mod is based on a mod by someone called flatz, and flatz claims he has been able to play Shinobi and Klonoa 2 on the PS4. The mod is still very new and experimental, but in theory you would eventually be able to play any PS2 game on the PS4. Which is pretty cool.
