It seems like old-school and indie titles have found a natural home on Switch and several developers have vouched for how much better their games are selling on Nintendo's new console than other platforms. Titles like Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap, SteamWorld Dig 2, and Thimbleweed Park have actually even sold better on Switch than all the other formats combined.

Now it seems like we can add Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom (an upcoming successor to Sega's Wonder Boy slash Monster World series) as the publisher FDG Entertainment reveales the following on Twitter:

"Monster Boy pre-order stats so far: #NintendoSwitch vs #PS4 is 10:1 (!!) @NintendoAmerica is dominating pre-orders by factor 10! :o"

This is, of course, very impressive and we're not sure exactly what the secret sauce is for Nintendo, especially as PlayStation 4 has roughly five times the installed base compared to Switch at the moment. Clearly, Switch players buy plenty of games. Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom will see release at an undisclosed date this summer for PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
