Capcom's Monster Hunter series is among the most popular if not the most popular game property in Japan currently and further evidence was provided by Famitsu. Monster Hunter 4 was released on Nintendo 3DS in Japan on September 14 and by the end of September 15 it had sold a massive 1.875 million copies (bundled copies and downloads included). The game also helped Nintendo sell close to 300,000 units of Nintendo 3DS during the same week. No word as of yet as to a Western release of Monster Hunter 4 as the franchise has struggled to captivate Western gamers.
