Earlier this week fans found out via professional profiles that, unless someone is lying on their CV (who would ever do that?), Bandai Namco Singapore was the unannounced studio secretly working on Metroid Prime 4 for the Nintendo Switch, and the same leak brought us rumours of Ridge Racer 8 being the new exclusive arcade racer for the system.

Now a new source has added more fuel to both rumours, even if they're just referring to the former, as "multiple sources have now confirmed" the leaked info was accurate. No more details have been added though, so there's no clue on the status of the project, let alone a potential launch date. Again, some high-profile talent who worked on the ambitious (but cancelled) Star Wars 1313 project, among other triple-A games, are now reportedly part of BN Singapore.

Metroid Prime 4 isn't expected to launch on the Nintendo Switch in 2018, and with Animal Crossing, Pokémon, or Super Smash Bros also expected at a later date (and Donkey Kong apparently limited to a remaster of the Wii U game for now), it'll be interesting to find out what Nintendo's first-party heavy hitters are for the year, especially after having a record-breaking launch year with Mario, Zelda, and Mario Kart.

Do you want this rumour to be true?
