The host and organiser of The Game Awards, Geoff Keighley, has gone on Twitter to hype this year's event which sounds like it's going to be one for the ages with more than 10 new games getting announced.

"We have such an incredible show coming together for next week. More than 10 new games will be announced for the first time during #TheGameAwards plus updates on existing titles too. We will share some teases in the days to come...."

This year's Game Awards will take place on December 7, 01:30 AM GMT (Dec 6, 5:30 PM PST), check the official website for details on where you can catch it (spoiler: pretty much everywhere).

"More than 10 new games" at The Game Awards

In recent years it's been no more than a handful of new game announcements at The Game Awards, but with Sony opting out of hosting a PlayStation Experience show (and not going to Paris Games Week), Nintendo in need of a line-up for the first half of 2019, and Microsoft with a bunch of new studios lined up we could be in for something truly special.
