Mount & Blade fans have been waiting a long time for Bannerlord, with Tale Worlds Entertainment taking their time refining the sequel, but now they've treated players to 21 minutes of new footage from the beta, or more specifically from the Skirmish mode, seeing players fight over flags.

This gives a good taste of the combat in the game, as well as the visuals and environments you'll be battling in. Customisations and loadouts are also visible in the gameplay video, so you can get a taste of multiple styles of combat, both short- and long-range.

Back in May the studio revealed that the public will be able to try the game for the first time at Gamescom this year, so there are mere weeks to wait until ticket holders can get their hands on the multiplayer portion. The single-player campaign will be there too, but only in the business area.

Have you been waiting patiently for Bannerlord?
