The NBA 2K League is expanding, adding its 24th team, and its first team in the Latin America region. DUX Gaming has acquired a slot in the league for the reported price of "upwards of $25 million" (thanks Sports Business Journal), bringing the esports league to Mexico.
Announced over Twitter, DUX Gaming will be a part of the league starting from 2022, and marks only the second team in the league that exists outside of the United States of America and Canada (with the first being the Gen.G Tigers that are based in Shanghai, China).
There is no mention as to the branding or the actual name the team will go under just yet, but with it set to debut in 2022, we probably won't have to wait long to hear more about what it will be called, and who will be playing for it.
