As it turns out, the leak regarding the title of Ghost Games' next Need for Speed game was right. Need for Speed Heat was shown during a short live stream just recently and what we saw was an incredible-looking street racing scene where the police were seen as the enemy (it is a street racing scene after all).
A woman's voice, presumably one of the drivers, could be heard throughout the trailer speaking of the unfairness of the law and the importance of winning, showing the cars in action as blue and red lights flashed behind them.
The game is set in Palm City and you'll compete in the sanctioned competition 'Speedhunter Showdown' in order to net some cash to upgrade your vehicles before building your reputation as a street racer at night. We then got to see a short snippet of the customisation in the game.
The release date was also shown in the pre-order section of the official website and it seems we don't have to wait long for the game as it is set to release on November 8.
Need for Speed Heat - Deluxe Edition is available for pre-order right now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and the pre-order edition includes the following:
