On Friday this week id Software and publisher Bethesda will open up a second round of tests of the multiplayer for the upcoming Doom reboot. Alpha testing is described as a stress test of the game's servers, and should be seen as just a test rather than an early taste of the game. The test session starts at 15:00 GMT on Friday and ends early Monday morning (05:00 GMT). The alpha is playable on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Gaining access to this second alpha test is hard, you'll need to sign up for testing over on the official website. It should be noted that if you purchased Wolfenstein: The New Order prior to May 26th, 2014 you have guaranteed access to the upcoming beta (but that does not mean you have access to the alpha per default). The first Doom alpha was held around 5 weeks ago, and hopefully we'll soon be ready for the beta ahead of the full release sometime during the first half of next year.
