2019 is shaping up to be the best year in decades for starved beat 'em up fans, as the classic series Streets of Rage is finally getting its first sequel since the Mega Drive days. We have even more good news too, as developer Dotemu has just revealed a new character for the game, ready to kick some serious ass.
We're talking about the daughter of Adam Hunter, legend from the first game, who seems to be a rocker who also knows how to beat people up. She is called Cherry, here is the official description we're given:
"Her interest in following in her father's footsteps and becoming a cop soon faded out, replaced by her love of music. Nowadays, she plays with her electro progressive rock band in some of the most dangerous places in Wood Oak City. She may look young but make no mistake - she is a seasoned veteran of kicking ass and taking names."
We strill don't have a final release date for the game, but check out Cherry in the brand new Gamescom trailer below. Sure looks like good fun, doesn't it?
