As noted by Gematsu, the official website of Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time has been updated, and even if most of the highlighted mechanics aren't new to the fans of the series, some elements deserve our attention. We learned, for instance, that it'll be easier to identify people in trouble through violet coloured dialogue boxes, or by listening to conversations between people to gather information.

Another thing we learned is that, outside the cities, you can ride on horseback through beautiful landscapes, and that new varieties of monsters will join the ranks of the iconic enemies of the saga. It will be possible to rest during camp fires too (which can be seen as an indication that the maps will be extensive) in order to regain HP, save, and talk with your allies.

Dragon Quest XI is expected on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS at some point in 2017, and a Switch version should be on the map as well. Are these newly unveiled features big ones?
