Today fans of the hugely popular RPG series Dragon Quest have been able to feast their eyes on a bunch of new screenshots (and one piece of artwork) showing how the eleventh main entry is shaping up on both PS4 and Nintendo 3DS. The full gallery is available below:

The pictures have been taken from the official DQXI website and show both in-game and cutscenes. The PS4 naturally takes advantage of more powerful hardware to present perhaps the most detailed Dragon Quest world ever seen, whilst the 3DS takes advantage of its dual screen to present both 3D gameplay (which looks better than the recent DQVII and VIII remakes) and 2D map.

These new Dragon Quest XI screens are shared right after the release of Dragon Quest VII and Dragon Quest VIII for the 3DS, and right before the release of Dragon Quest Heroes II on PS4 and PC. Now, with the game also coming to the just-released Nintendo Switch, where do you think it'll land in terms of graphics? Leave a comment below.
